Job Profile
Provides technical support and expertise in electrical maintenance. Maintains and improves electrical components, equipment or systems to improve or keep high reliability, overall equipment values and cost efficiency.
Electrical maintenance operations. Carrying out electrical duties on surface and underground equipment, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis.
Performing electrical maintenance duties as directed and as per maintenance plans, to a standard that maintains the integrity of the equipment and does not compromise safety.
Perform fault finding and repairs, using electrical schematics.
Analyze, prepare, plan and carry out improvement initiatives on machines and equipment.
Contributes to projects as a technical expert and monitors the outcome.
Preventive maintenance, perform corrective actions, supports planning and preparation, monitors outcome, documentation (outcome, root cause, time, improvements).
Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Achievement of maintenance targets.
Follow quality and cleanliness standards.
Communication of operational status and any deviations.
Safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements.
Continuous improvements and development on a personal and operational level.
About you
Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
At least 3 years of experience in surface and underground mining and heavy mobile equipment.
Experience with Sandvik products will be an added advantage.
Basic Mechanical and Hydraulic knowledge and the ability to read schematics.
Must have the ability to work underground and be able to work rostered shifts.
